Nerd HQ brings Comic Con to the Non-Ticketed Public in SD

Don't have a pass to next week's Comic-Con but still want to be part of the action? Zachary Levi's got your back.

The "Chuck" star is throwing a four-day event during Comic-Con in the Gaslamp District of San Diego called Nerd HQ. It promises to be a more intimate experience than the massive Con, with a maximum of 250 attendees for the panels and a suggested donation of $20 to benefit Operation Smile. There will also be  video games, technology, and a film festival of one-minute shorts.

The "Conversations" include panels with the cast of "Firefly", Scott Bakula,  Zachary Quinto, and Zac Levi himself.

Check it out here.

Comic-Con 2011 Announces Day 1 and 2 Schedule

BS-CC_blog[1]Day one and two programming for this year's San Diego Comic-Con, taking place July 21-24 (with a preview night on July 20), has just been announced. As expected, films, television pilots and series with the accompanying actors, directors, writers, and producers will be in attendance. All this despite the idea that Hollywood was foregoing the Con this year.

Highlights that may interest actors include workshops "Comic-Con Film School 101: Preproduction and Screenwriting" and "Inside the Voice Actors Studio", pilot screenings of "Alcatraz", "Person of Interest", "The Secret Circle", "Awake", and the not picked up (but much talked about) "Locke & Key",  and panels with the casts of "Game of Thrones", "Ringer", "Covert Affairs", "Psych", "Dexter", and "Shameless".

Click here for the full day one and two schedule.
